Jordan Madge (b. 1994) is a photographer based in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. Primarily working as an observer, his practice explores both social and physical landscapes. He graduated with a Bachelor of Photography (Documentary) from Photography Studies College, Melbourne, in 2015.
Madge’s work has been featured in The British Journal of Photography, VICE, Landscape Stories, and Paper Journal Magazine. He has exhibited widely, including a solo exhibition at the Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) in Melbourne and a group show, Shadows are Cast by Things and People, at the Australian Centre for Photography. He also participated in I Love a Sunburnt Country, a projection shown at The Night of the Images hosted by Musée de l’Elysée in Switzerland.
His accolades include the Australian Photobook of the Year Award (Unpublished) in 2016 and the CCP Instagram Project Award in 2017. He has undertaken artist residencies in both Australia and Japan and was a finalist in the National Photographic Portrait Prize. Madge has self-published several photographic books and released Banana Spider Bite with Bad News Books.
